While I do love every celebration I’m trusted to capture, there is something special about attending a wedding in a meaningful location to the couple and their families. Chase and Jen’s Lake Minnetonka backyard wedding reception was no exception - and their day was sprinkled with really meaningful moments that spoke to something larger than just their wedding day. From borrowing a friends James Bond car at their ceremony site (Noerenberg Gardens); to driving back to Chase’s families home after the ceremony in an army vehicle; to hopping on the pontoon for a little lake cruise to Lord Fletchers (complete with many waving passerby boaters) while guests mingled next to the pool with champagne or played a game of bags; to the Grooms cake and the couples cake complete with a sword cutting (is this real life??); to the fabulous tented dance party and meaningful toasts…that concluded with an a cappella version of “day o” (you know, from the iconic dinner scene in Beetlejuice?! yeah!) SO yeah, they clearly did it right and their day was nothing short of very clearly, Chase + Jen.
